Product

Is your gelato suitable for vegans?

You bet. Our gelato is made in a fully vegan facility. We do not use any ingredients in our ice cream (or toppings, wafers and cones) that may contain traces of milk, eggs or other animal products.

Is your gelato suitable for allergy sufferers?

All of our gelato is made using cashew nuts and they may also contain traces of peanuts and other nuts.

Our inclusions may contain additional allergens, in which case they will be clearly labelled on the pack and on our website. Our cones and wafers contain gluten and soya. We are working on sourcing gluten-free cones and wafers.

Our gelato is gluten-free and soya-free.

Do you offer a gluten-free box?

Yes, all of the boxes on our Online Store are currently free from gluten, soy, dairy and lactose.

With Pint Club, our Gelato Box, which doesn’t have any wafers or cones in, is a gluten-free option. We don't currently offer a certified gluten-free Dessert Box as our wafers and cones contain gluten – but are looking into the possibility.

Do you have a low-calorie option?

No, as we don't believe in aerating our products or adding any artificial sweeteners. Our products are made from all-natural ingredients using traditional techniques for a richer and more satisfying ice cream

Do you have a sugar-free option?

No, all our gelato contains sugar. We only use natural ingredients but we believe sugar is sugar, whatever form it comes in and we choose to use unrefined cane sugar. However, our gelato contains a much higher percentage of its core ingredient than other ice creams so you taste the natural flavour bursting through.

Where is it made and how is it made?

We create all our gelato in the North of England in-house as trained vegan gelatieres. We follow the principles of classical Italian gelato within a plant-based framework – so each gelato contains less air which makes it denser and creamier.

Can I see a list of ingredients?

We put this information for all of our flavours on our Ingredients page; however, because our Pint Club flavours are one-off recipes the ingredients list is not always finalised at the point that we announce the new flavour.

How do you source your ingredients?

We take a lot of pride in creating a fantastic gelato experience, and so it is so important we source the best ingredients around, in a fair and ethical way.

We have a strong commitment to becoming a Fairtrade and Organic certified gelato maker and have taken several steps towards achieving this goal. The heart of our gelato – our cashews – are Fairtrade certified, and you can read more about our partnership with Liberation nuts here. Our raw cane sugar is Fairtrade certified, and all of our chocolate ingredients are organic and Fairtrade.

Alongside our ethical commitments, we also ensure we are creating all our gelatos to the highest possible food safety standards, which means we only work with suppliers who are SALSA or BRCGSA accredited.

Can I see a nutritional breakdown for each flavour?

From the Flavours page, you will be able to access details about all of our Signature flavours, including the typical nutritional breakdown. For our guest Pint Club flavours, we are not currently in a position to provide this, although we hope to in the near future.

Why can't I find this month's Pint Club flavour ingredients yet?

Because our Pint Club flavours are one-off recipes, it sometimes takes a little longer to get the ingredients list finalised. This is because we want to make it taste as good as it possibly can – so there might be some last-minute tweaks!

Why is my gelato so hard when it arrives?

When your gelato first arrives, it will be frozen solid to the core. If you want to eat it straight away, you might need to leave it on the side for up to half an hour to soften. When taking the gelato out of the freezer, allow it to sit for 10 minutes so it is deliciously scoopable. For the love of frozen treats, don’t microwave it!

Can I order a single tub?

Due to the packaging, courier and dry ice costs associated with shipping your order (all of which is included within our product costs) we cannot send out single tubs in an affordable manner. For this reason, our minimum online order is a four-tub box or two-pint subscription.

I've got a problem with my order. Who do I talk to?

When will I be billed?

For Pint Club orders, you will be billed on the first of the month for that month’s Pint Club delivery.

For Online Store orders, you will be billed immediately upon concluding the purchase.

Can I skip a month?

Absolutely. If you are going to be on holiday or would just like a break for a month or two, email us at help@beausgelato.com and we'll get this organised for you.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes, you are able to cancel anytime with our subscription packages. Please note you will be billed on the first of the month for that month’s Pint Club delivery, so if you choose to cancel after the first of the month you will still receive that month’s Pint Club.

Can I update my address if I move house?

Absolutely, you can manage your delivery details on your account. Just click on the account icon on the top far right corner of the website to access your account, or click here.

Please note, you must update your details prior to the cut-off date each month (i.e. by the 22nd) for this to take effect in that given month.

How do I correct/amend my details?

How do I refer a friend?

The first rule of Pint Club is to tell everybody about Pint Club – and when you do you get a ‘Refer a Friend’ £5 off voucher as a thank you, and so does your friend. You can find out how this works on our Referrals page.

Delivery

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to nearly every corner of the UK; however, there are some locations that our courier network can't quite reach just yet: Arran, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Northern Highlands, Northern Ireland, Orkney and Shetland.

Please note that we do not currently deliver outside of the UK.

Can I choose which flavours I want?

For Pint Club subscriptions we are unable to accommodate individual flavour substitutions as we create limited runs of each unique flavour. However, you can build a bespoke box for delivery over on our online store, or buy our Signature range from one of our retailers.

If you have an idea for a flavour you’d like to see then let us know over on our Instagram and we’ll see if we can include it in a future delivery!

Can I choose when my delivery is made?

Our Online Store orders are processed weekly, so all orders made before 23:59 on a Sunday will be delivered the following week, usually on a Thursday.

Our Pint Club deliveries are dispatched once a month, at the end of the month. Orders must be placed before 23:59 on the 23rd of the calendar month in order for the first box to arrive that month.

What happens if I'm not in to receive my delivery?

Don’t worry, our courier partners DPD will leave it outside your door/in your designated safe place, and your gelato will stay perfectly frozen for at least 12 hours – with no need to sign!

I've missed the Ordering cut-off. What can I do?

Unfortunately, we have to be pretty strict about our cut-offs due to dry ice provision so, if you order after a cut-offdeadline, you will receive your order in the next delivery cycle (the following week for Online Store orders; the following month for Pint Club orders).

Is your delivery Covid-safe?

We are a BRC Start accredited site and therefore we have to abide by very strict food safety standards. This includes detailed Covid processes and procedures. If you would like more details on this, please email us at help@beausgelato.com.

How much does delivery cost?

Postage costs £4.99 per delivery for all of our products – this is included within the prices quoted across our site.

Do you offer returns?

If there is an issue with your gelato, for instance, it doesn’t arrive frozen or it arrives late, send us a photo of the problem and we will send you out another box - no extra charge. That’s our frozen guarantee. To speak to us regarding your order email us at help@beausgelato.com.


Packaging

How is my delivery shipped?

Your Pint Club box will be delivered in a box that contains recycled, denim-lined, dry ice blocks and a separate shelf for any extras such as cones, waffles and toppings.

How do I recycle my packaging?

We've highlighted all of the different materials in our packaging and provided recycling advice for each item here.

Do you have any plastic in your packaging?

We use recyclable MDPE, biodegradable polyethene and polypropylene for some of our items, as these are the best materials from a food safety perspective. For full details on the recyclability of these materials, please see here.

What is Dry Ice?

Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide. It’s pretty cool (pun intended) actually – it stays at -79°C and ‘sublimates’, meaning it changes straight from a solid to a gas without going through the liquid stage. We pack up the boxes with just enough dry ice to reach you, so most of it will have disappeared by the time it gets to you. However, If there is some left do not touch it and keep it in a safe place out of reach from children and pets.

Do not contain the dry ice in a sealed jar/tupperware etc... as it needs ventilation to sublimate. Please ensure you follow the safety guidelines found in the box.

In the UK the CO2 in dry ice is captured from recycled sources and not from fossil fuels, so it is taken from the environment and returned to the environment at a net-zero carbon effect.

What are your eco-friendly credentials?

Treading lightly on the earth is important to us at Beau's, and as part of our commitment to becoming carbon negative, we are working with Planet Mark to measure and reduce our carbon emissions.

Sustainability is at the heart of how we produce each tub of Beau's, and we won't leave a rock unturned to find more efficient and sustainable ways to do business. We have taken great care in selecting our packaging to make sure it is easily recyclable for the consumer, whilst still remaining food safe. We are not perfect, but we strive for perfection for our planet, so we will continue to evolve our practices to ensure we are pushing boundaries and industry standards.
